Halloween with Kids near Zurich: Family-friendly activities and events 2025

Halloween is here! If you’re a big fan of this spooktastic time of year, but are unsure how to celebrate, then you’ve come to the right place. We’ve been searching for Halloween events and have put them together in one place to give you a complete rundown of the best Halloween events and activities for kids near Zurich. While many events took place last weekend (26/27 October), there’s still time to celebrate with the following events taking place this weekend.

Is Halloween celebrated in Switzerland?

If you’re new to Switzerland (like me), you might wonder if Halloween is even celebrated here? I experienced my first Halloween in 2024, and I think the answer to this question is sort of! It also depends on your experiences of Halloween – for some of my American friends, the answer would be a resounding no!

I think it’s safe to say Halloween is definitely increasing in popularity, so while there might not be many houses decked out in Halloween displays, you can still count on plenty of events to get you in the Halloween spirit.

And don’t forget, Switzerland has many other amazing festivals to enjoy – such as Räbechilbi – the Turnip Lantern Festival in November (more on Räbechilbi events coming soon!).

Best Halloween events for kids near Zurich 2025

Kids Party Halloween Edition 2 @ Club Bellevue

There’s been no shortage of Halloween discos for the kids this year. Club Bellevue is getting transformed into the ultimate Halloween party for 2-8-year-olds. It’s not just dancing – there will be free popcorn, face painting, Halloween animations, and more! Did we mention the option of all-you-can-drink prosecco for the grown-ups, too?! The event is being held on two Sundays, so if you missed the 26 October, you can still check out the details for 2 November!

• When: 2-6pm, Sunday 2 November 2025
• Where: Club Bellevue, Freieckgasse 9, 8001 Zurich
• Cost: CHF 10 per adult (or CHF 39 for all-you-can-drink prosecco) and CHF 20 per child

Halloween at KULTURAMA, Zurich

Have you checked out the KULTURAMA Museum with your kids yet? The Museum of Human Evolution has some great exhibits for the kids, all about us humans. Save the visit for Halloween and you’ll be in for a treat (no tricks here), with a special Halloween Children’s Workshop. Here, the kids can get up close with skeletons and a real mummy, plus, there is the chance to craft too. Fancy dress is encouraged! You must buy your ticket in advance here. The English-speaking event already took place last weekend (25 October), but there’s a Halloween Special in German taking place on 31 October!

• When: Friday 31 October 2025. The workshop is 4.30 – 6pm, but the ticket allows you to explore the museum from 1pm. Adult companions pay the regular admission price of CHF 14.
• Where: Englischviertelstrasse 9, 8032 Zürich
• Cost: Workshop for children from 7 – 12 years (accompanied by an adult). CHF 25 (in costume), including admission (or CHF 20 for members), and accompanying adults are CHF 14.

Family Halloween Party at Academicus

For the little ones, Academicus is hosting a fun-filled family Halloween party on 1 November with sensory experiences, “Room on the Broom” storytelling, songs, pumpkin decorating, and much more!

• When: Saturday 1 November 2025 from 11.15 – 12.15pm.
• Where: Waffenplatzstrasse 5, 8002 Zürich
• Cost: 40 CHF per family. Recommended for 2-6 year olds.

Best Halloween events for kids near Zurich 2025 – past events for reference

Halloween Kinder Disco @ Kaufleuten, Zurich

As well as offering an adults-only Halloween event, the folks at the Kaufleuten Club won’t be leaving the kids out with a Halloween Kinder Disco to enjoy. Get your costumes ready, as there will be plenty of activities for little ones to enjoy, including a candy stand, a make-up stall, and animation shows.

• When: 1-5pm, Sunday 26 October 2025
• Where: Club Hall, Kaufleuten
• Cost: CHF 20 per adult and CHF 20 per child

American Women’s Club of Zurich Annual Halloween Kids’ Party

The American Women’s Club of Zurich are hosting their annual Halloween event for kids on Sunday 26 October 2025! Expect games, crafts, spooky Science, and lots more! Come dressed in your spookiest costumes. This event is open to both members and non-members.

• When: 26 October 2025. Morning session for younger children (3 – 7 years old) and afternoon session for 8+.
• Where: AWCZ Clubhouse, Höschgasse 38, 8008 Zurich
• Cost: CHF 30 for members and CHF for non-members (per child)

Jucker Farm

One of our favourite places for the Autumn months, Jucker Farm has everything covered for pumpkin season. And who can enjoy a Halloween without pumpkins? There’s still time to catch the annual Pumpkin Festival which runs until the 26th October 2025 (see details below), and there’s also special Halloween weekend activities to enjoy…

Jucker Farm Pumpkin Festival – Let’s Play

This year, the annual pumpkin display is all about play! The Juckerhof and Bächlihof locations both feature a total of 15 displays to explore. Take a look at the site for the larger-than-life displays you can expect – from Pokémon to LEGO!

• When: Until Sunday 26 October 2025
• Where: Bächlihof: Blaubrunnenstrasse 70, 8645 Jona SG and Dorfstrasse 23, 8607 Seegräben. Car parking is limited, so it’s best to arrive early. Alternatively, there is a shuttle bus from the Seegraben station.

Pumpkin Slaughter at Bächlihof

Not really for Halloween, but if a pumpkin slaughter doesn’t sound Halloween, then we don’t know what does! Save November 1st for this event. Come armed with bags, as there will be kilos of pumpkin flesh up for grabs, too. It starts at 12noon and lasts 2-3 hours.

• When: 1 November 2025 at 12noon
• Where: Bächlihof, Blaubrunnenstrasse 70, 8645 Jona SG

Halloween Weekend at Bächlihof

Get set for lots of fun Halloween activities on the 25 and 26 October with a Halloween carving session from pumpkin carving artist, Galina Faletra (from 10am – 4pm). There’s also face painting and glitter tattoos on offer (CHF 5, 12noon – 3pm) – plus, pumpkin painting on Sunday 26 October from 1.30 – 4pm (CHF 5 per pumpkin).

• When: 25 and 26 October 2025
• Where: Bächlihof, Blaubrunnenstrasse 70, 8645 Jona SG

Pumpkin Carving Competition

Get into the Halloween spirit with a Pumpkin Carving Competition at the Römerhof Kloten shop. Purchase your fave pumpkin and get to work carving up a storm to be in with a chance to win a farm shop snack basket filled with delicious goodies. Tools and tips provided!

• When: Until 31 October from 9am – 6pm
